1 - Reflection on Previous I Search Experiences - due Mon. April 7
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
In the past I have done research projects on coreographers, The Natchez Christmas Festival, and Pandas
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
To me research means to look for specific information and details about a particular subject.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
One of my successes was in a ballet project where we had to make a ballet. I think this was a positive experience because I had to cover alot of research and in the end it payed off with an A. The only thing that I would've done different is to make sure that my information that I used is valid.
2 - Reflection on Webbing Process - due Tuesday, April 8
1. I think that the webbing process didn't help me because it didn't give me topics to brainstorm off of, it just gave me a blank page.
3 - Why I Chose This Topic and What I Know About My Topic - due Tuesday, April 8
1. Topic: How ballet started and developed over time
2. Why you chose it: I chose this topic because I love ballet and I want to know how it came about.
3. What you already know about your topic: I already know that ballet used to be just in Europe but then it spread...but thats about all I know.
4 - Pre-Notetaking Activity - in class - due Wednesday, April 9
1. Brainstorm a list of questions related to your topic.
What was ballet based on?
Why did people first start to dance?
What culture did ballet develop in?
What time period did this happen?
How did it spread?
Who were the first perople to start a "school" of ballet?
What was the first ballet?
Where did the names of the moves in ballet come from?
Did men and women both perform?
Were political figures interested in ballet?
What is your fat question?

1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
I thought it helped me beacause it showed me what I'll need to further research.
I thought the fat question was easy because it really summed it all up.
